Safety matters most when the battery is on your wrist
Wearables and smart home devices put a lithium cell against skin, or inside a sealed enclosure in someone’s house, running unattended for years. That is the strongest argument for a solid-state cell: with a solid, non-flammable electrolyte there is no thermal-runaway path, and cells pass puncture, cutting and overcharge testing without swelling, smoke or fire.
What this enables in a small package
- High energy density — up to 750 Wh/kg at cell level, so a smaller cell delivers the same runtime, or the same cell runs far longer.
- Long cycle life — cells are built for products that are charged daily for years rather than replaced.
- No swelling — conventional pouch cells swell in high-temperature storage; solid-state pouch cells do not, which protects thin enclosures and glued assemblies.
- Wide temperature tolerance — from -80°C to +140°C for outdoor wearables and sensors.
Applications
Smart watches and bands, hearables and TWS cases, health and fitness monitors, smart-home sensors, locks and controllers, and other connected devices where a swelling or venting cell would be a product-recall event.
Custom development
Solid-state pouch cells are made to your capacity, thickness and footprint, with a matched PCM providing over-voltage, over-current, short-circuit and over-temperature protection. Manufactured under IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 with UN38.3 certification. Tell us your enclosure dimensions and runtime target for a proposal.
