Why power tools are a hard case for lithium-ion
A cordless tool asks three things of its battery at the same time: high burst power under load, enough energy density to keep the pack light, and safety in an environment of impacts, dust, heat and rough handling. Conventional lithium-ion trades one against the others, and the flammable liquid electrolyte is exactly the wrong thing to have inside a pack that gets dropped on a job site.
What solid-state changes
- High power with high safety — the solid electrolyte is non-combustible; cells pass puncture, cutting and overcharge abuse testing without swelling, smoke or fire.
- High energy density — up to 750 Wh/kg at cell level, so a pack delivers longer runtime for the same weight.
- Fast turnaround — full charge within 10 minutes keeps a second pack from being mandatory.
- Wide temperature operation — from -80°C to +140°C, so performance holds in cold outdoor work and in heat near the motor.
Pack design
We build to your tool platform: cell selection, series/parallel configuration, and a matched BMS with high-precision fuel gauging, dual IC + fuse protection, over-voltage, over-current, short-circuit and over-temperature protection, cell balancing and pre-charge. Housing, contacts, latch and branding are configurable.
Certification and supply
Manufactured under IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, with UN38.3 for transport and UL2054 available. Send us your voltage, continuous and peak current, runtime target and pack envelope and we will specify the cell and pack.
